Curriculum

Applicants enter the program after completion of at least the bachelor's degree and will complete a minimum of 36 semester credit hours for the Masters degree. In addition to the completion of core courses, students will select an elective that will address their particular interests. Elective courses will include topics such as instructional design, technology leadership, instructional technology research, media management, and facilities planning. In lieu of a comprehensive exam, the culminating activity for the program is an electronic portfolio which demonstrates the student's growth in knowledge, skills, and dispositions related to educational technology. Students also are expected to make presentations at professional conferences in order to communicate best practices related to applying appropriate technology resources.

The program is entirely web-based.

The curriculum consists of the following courses which do not need to be taken in this order. Candidates and interested applicants should check with their advisor to determine the proper order to take the courses.
