Please click on the following video clips from a high school science class. Watch and take notes on how you could use this type of instruction in your classroom. Also think of ways you could improve the following SMART Board activities. Then look at the following tutorials and find out if they are indeed effective lessons and changes.

Engaging Learners the SMARTBOARD Way is a site that houses many interactive activities, two-minute tutorials on SMART Board basics, and workshops. There is so much information here.

Internet for Classrooms is a site that has so many SMART Board resources, including: a 91-page SMART Board user guide, educator resources and training, interactive sites, lessons, resouces, and videos from classrooms.

Interactive Whiteboards in the Classroom is a site that has a multitude of resources, tutorials, companies, and interactive sites for teachers to use.

Beginning to use your SMART Board (Information from SMART Technologies)

  • Make sure that your projector and computer are connected to your SMART Board.
  • Turn the projector on first, and then the computer. Because the computer and SMART Board are connected, the SMART Board will gain power automatically.
