Information about SMART Boards

SMART Boards, or interactive whiteboards, are being used in classrooms all over the world. The first SMART Board was introduced in 1991 by SMART Technologies. Working in collaboration with a computer and a projector, Smartboards essentially become a large touch screen that can be used for interactive activities that include students in the classroom or a board for presentations. Because the price was greater when Smartboards were introduced early in the 1990's, business were the beginning patrons. However, with the lower prices, schools and universities have become able to provide them in classrooms.
